The Hills of Notos Merlot Mavroudi 2023 – Kanakaris Winery

The world-famous grape variety Merlot has perfectly adapted to the winegrowing region of the mountainous Aigialeia, and it is matched in a great manner with the indigenous and less known Mavroudi. The two varieties complement one another to give a deliciously structured red wine.The very careful and special vinification of the two grape varieties, which involves extraction and alcoholic fermentation at temperatures up to 20ºC, gives a modern red wine of Mediterranean style. The wine matures with a number of short micro-oxygenation, without any use of oak, a fact that enhances its varietal aromas and its freshness.
