Review by Jacqueline Spence
This Avenay wine was charming and I was really impressed with it having wonderful balance, length, intensity and complexity. I noticed in particular the baby raspberry flavour from the young 100% Pinot Noir offering. It had a little peppercorn (I know, not a typical scent, but that’s what I got) but it was green and herbaceous. Some rose on the nose and maybe even a little mango as I kept drinking. I was blown away with how much I loved this single variety Champagne.
